We've just got our caravan out of hibernation. The previous owner had fitted a old Rover radio cassette. I know the code as he wrote it on the side of the radio and in the caravan instruction book. We can't seem to get it to take the code after the battery been disconnected all winter.
It has 4 number buttons and the usual opperating buttons i think its out of a old 200/400 series
any ideas?

The early Philips models are uncoded as follows:
Switch on Radio: 'CODE' should appear in the display.
Press either up or down tuning buttons until the first digit of the four digit code appears. Press pre-set button 1 to store.
Use tuning up-down button to select 2nd digit - press pre-select button 1.
Use tuning up-down button to select 3rd digit - press pre-select button 1.
Use tuning up-down button to select 4th digit - press pre-select button 1.
The beep should sound and the radio function.
If you don't get it right it keeps defaulting to a time lapse - this gets longer each time...:-(
