WHo knows whether or not this will work. However, if it does, this is where I should have left the Freelander.
This is near my house and where I go with the Dogs.
It is also the scene of my first experience with the Freelander

Well in that case Mark, I'm not bl**dy surprised it didn't want to play!!!
Judging by the terrain shown, you'd have needed a team of Huskies rather than 4WD.
OK then - how do you do it?
Everyones getting in on it now and I'm feeling left out.

I can see a little hint of a road on the left of your picture Mark, must be the easy way up.
It's beautiful scenery though.

Lee, I guarantee there is no road there. I looked at that point, I think its a flat rock. Right there is a drop into a valley.
The track is a dead-end - ending where I took the photograph, and the track would have been leading up behind me.
Its a terrible representation of the picture anyway, I've e-mailed you the original.
If you could put on your little website and show it here I would be grateful.

Lovely stuff, Mark!
I'm sure the intelligent blondes (retrievers) had fun in the cold and wet stuff!
And here's me, with just pics of MMFD to show you!

Ah-ha. I see what you mean now, agreed - there ain't no road there.
We visited Baños in Ecuador in a Ford Bronco on roads like this and I'm glad I wasn't driving, it's a specialist skill but quite good fun.
Cheers,
Lee.

Sorry, but this is the view I see from my balcony at home outside Rio.
And right at this moment, as I am writing this, I sitting in the hammock, G&T in hand, laptop on knees, dogs swimming in the pool, and sprogette downstairs with her mother.
Life is tough.

Sid you need to give public authority to your photo album.
Question with all these Backroomers opening up new photo albums should I sell my shares in Yahoo, or buy more?
Oh b*gger it I'm going to have a pint instead.

Wow
Do ordinary folk really live near stuff like that?
Took my breath away, thanks Mark.

My garden is twice as overgrown as that.
And as for the colliery slag 'mountain' in the distance....
Must agree, it looks very nice

Mark
Your picture reminds me of a story about a West Country farmer who went to the test match at Lord's, and happened to sit next to an Australian farmer who was over on holiday. They shared a couple of beers and he invited the Australian back to his farm for the weekend.
They arrived at the farm gates at dusk, and stopped to admire the sunset and the view. The English farmer pointed to some trees about half a mile away, and panned across to an old barn and said, "From those trees all right across to the barn is all my land".
The Australian said, "Aw, I get up in the morning and gas up the car and set off west. I drive till I'm hungry and stop for some grub, then set off again. I just about reach the boundary of my land by nightfall".
To which, the Englishman replied, "Yes I know - I used to have a car like that".

Mark,
Don't wish to worry you but I think I caught sight of LAS in the far tree with high powered binoculars.
Do you have a telescopic site fitted to the rifle?
Stu.
|
|
He could neither afford binoculars nor work out how to use them.
However, it would be a dream from heaven if he were in Brazil, we have some fairly direct options available to us here for resolving issues.
