Can any backroomers recommend a tow bar fitter in the South Manchester/ Stockport/ North Cheshire Area??

Genuine VAG detachable towbars are easy to fit yourself. Remove rear bumper, remove crashbar and store in the loft, remove the factory tape that covers the holes that are already in the chassy, bolt up towbar. Elecrics are plug and play. You'll need to cut a hole in the black plastic lower half of the bumper for the hitch (detatch from the bumper before cutting). Two hours with a tea break if you've never done it before:-) Quite a few available second hand.

If you can go a little further afield I'd recommend Towsure at Malin Bridge, nr Hillsborough, Sheffield.
On the tram terminus so you can have a shopping trip into the city while work is done.
