Can anyone recommend a make of road map(s) to cover a trip to Northern France, Belguim and Holland.

Michelin. They add a certain something to any French journey. Look out for airfield symbols in the shape of a Douglas DC3. Turn on the stereo with some Charles Trenet, a bottle of red.....what more do you want ?

Michelin!

Michelin for travelling, but when you get to your destination the large scale IGN (Blue) series are the best for exploring.
These maybe for France only, and are available in all the large french hypermarkets.

I have bought IGN maps on line. Buy a TomTom/Garmin/Navman thing.

I have used mapsworldwide.co.uk two or three times and been very pleased with their service. IMHO not many retailers could provide a street map of Kaunas in Lithunaia within 48 hours?

AA road atlas uses IGN mapping for France and is easier to use than Michelin, we find - cheaper in the UK too.
The reason Michelin uses a DC3 symbol for airfields is that French air traffic control has been working to rule since the 1950s...
