hi ive a motability car (cmax)...weve had nothing but trouble with it since december 2004.. its been ok for the past 4 months just after its 1st service..now it makes a nasty grinding noise from the back brakes when put into reverse! window wiper keeps catching the screen and makes a funny sound..driver window wont go up or down when we want it to.weve developed a vibration when it goes to 1500 rpm..or go above 60...mph.i dont know what to do now as i dont want to sound like a moaner when i tell ford its now got these probs...i really cant trust the car..as i keep having a "power steering failure" come up on the computer..and other warnings...but ive had this problem before and it took them(ford) 4 weeks to do diagnostic checks to tell me that a meter had gone wrong...i dont know whether to get a second opinion??

Can't offer much help I'm afraid.

If you're unhappy with the service level at your present Ford dealer then it might be worth you trying a different one. There are plenty of them to choose from.

Can't the Motability people apply some pressure to the dealer in order to make them sort out your problems? I don't really know anything about the Motability organisation but I could well imagine they might be responsible for quite a number of new vehicle sales.

If you think the car is so bad you could have an independent inspection carried out, and, armed with their report, have another go at your dealer. However, these inspections are quite expensive and one is likely to cost you a few hundred pounds.

Finally, have you tried to contact Ford Customer Service directly?

Don't really know what else to suggest.

Hi Annie,

In addition to what Galaxy has said, it might be worth popping down to the Ford Focus Owners Club at:

www.ffoc.co.uk/forum

and post in the relevant section. They're a really friendly lot and should be able to give you more technical advice. I think there's actually a C-Max section on there.

Best of luck,

Adam

According to Motability, it accounts for six per cent of UK new car sales annually and also sells more than 125,000 used vehicles.

Contact details can be found at:

www.motability.co.uk/Templates/Internal.asp?nodeid...9

I've no doubt they will assist with sorting out your vehicle at the dealership - it will be likely to have quite a high turnover of Motability sales and most dealerships have a specialist in this area.
