The AA's charge can be found here;

but have you checked if you can add it to your current AA cover?

It will probably work out cheaper.

sorry if obvious question, but since you already have AA membership have you asked them? - they may offer additional cover for Europe for little cost (compared to taking out another different policy??)

Cause it'll cost £60 and i can get cover cheaper elsewhere.

Just read the policy for Vehicle direct it does not cover a Zafira as it's over 1.5 m in height.What good is that?

fair enough, but you didn't tell me that - so why aren't you going "elsewhere"?

When I was in UK I used to pay Europ Assist 70 quid a year for 12-month cover of as many trips to Europe as I wanted. Seemed good value and the only time I ever needed them they were very helpful.

That will rule out most cars then...:-)

My Bora is about five feet in height and the new Golf 62.2inches.

1.5m height - What a strange threshold value! most larger cars and estates fall within a few cm either side - some otherwise identical cars may fall either way depending on the type of tyre... In the event of a claim, maybe deflate the tyres and you'll be OK.

I'm also looking for continental cover for a Zafira and would possibly have overlooked the 1.5m clause in the small print.
I also find it odd that premiums can't always be costed on a daily basis.

Not much good compared to the AA which, for a non-member is £58.70 for a vehicle 1.86m high carrying 4 adults for 12 days in Europe in July.
I am not a member of the AA, nor do I work for them.
I already pay for full British and European cover for 4 people/vehicles via another company. Costs £300 per annum - worth it for peace of mind? That's only £75 per annum for any of those 4 people driving any vehicle anywhere in Europe for any length of time (and towing a caravan/trailer if necessary!!).
Perhaps you should have a good look at Stuart's link - the company I use is there - cheapest is about £47 for your 12 days
