My daughter has the above car, recently it has been running rough and stalling,it now shows the fuel injector light, does anyone have any clues what might cause this problem, thanks Burman.

can you hear the fuel pump priming the system when you first turn the ignition lights on?

I believe the fuel injecor light is a general 'engine management' warning and therefore it may not necessarily be fuel related. I've heard the coil packs give trouble, but I don't know how you go about checking them.

Thank you for your replies,it turned out to be a one month old N.G.K.sparkplug ,[it was the correct plug],ATB Burman

I was wrong blaming the plug,Iam pretty certain the head gasket has failed, the new plug only lasted one hour, when its removed steam escapes from the plug hole, the coolant overflowed when the cap was removed and bubbles were expelled from the coolant with the engine running,ATB Burman

Sounds like a problem the coils which may (if not already) eventually screw up the ecu. I recently had to fork out just under 500 quid cos apparently when my one of the coils went on 02 punto it sent a spark the wrong way and fried the ecu. Hope your luckier than me with just the coils approx £90.00 for the pair, ecu is £250.00. Add labour and vat your looking at a hefty bill.
Just a guess, is the car around the 25000 mile mark. if so get rid of asap. This link ---> forums.preloved.co.uk/fuseaction-forums.showdiscus...l might interest you or horrify you. It did to me so I promptly got shot of it
