cheesy pong - colin
we're advised to run the aircon at intervals during the winter just to get rid of bugs in the system which can cause a smell. But if its cold outside, will the aircon cut in and achieve the objective, please, folks? Despite doing what I've been told, the car still sometimes smells of old socks.
Re: cheesy pong - Honest John
Whatever the weather, run it at maximum cold for 10 minutes each week, then at maximum heat through the same vent outlets for at least 5 minutes to dry out the condensation.

If it's below about 2 or 3 degrees, then it probably won't cycle on, if it does, it won't be for very long. That's why you may as well leave it on permanently, even in winter, because it will only operate for short periods anyway.
