Please can anyone help...
I have a jammed bonnet latch and don't know the best way to try and release it?

Is the cable snapped, or just slack?
If the latter, then get someone to gently press down on the bonnet whilst you pull the lever.
Once bonnet is up, adjust the cable to take up the slack.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
I don't believe the cable is snapped because when I pull the release lever inside the car the bonnet does pop up but the lever won't move ( I'm not even sure if it should move left or right? )
But your ideas ( and any other suggestions are greatly received )

so the bonnet is not opening due to the safety catch?you will have to get on your knees and have a look then and see my previous thread,if you have your car regularly serviced i would like to suggest you have a go with the service manager because oiling of the safety catch is one of the first things trainee "technicians" (nee mechanics) are taught

I'd guess you should move the lever away from the centre of the car.Spray everything in sight with WD first.
