My 2.0L 16v injection Toyota Camry, was working absolutely fine until this afternoon on a drive to blackpool, the oil light came on and the car stopped running completely, I checked the oil and there's plenty in there, the anti-freeze is fine as are all lubricants in the engine so I'm at a complete loss why it won't even turn over.
Hope someone might be able to help
Thanks and happy new year to you all!!!

Sounds as though the engine has seized unfortunately due to a loss of oil pressure. The light coming on was the low oil pressure warning light (does your car have an oil-level indicator light too-just wondering which light came on, the orange low level light or the red low pressure light?). When was the car last serviced anyway?
Youre looking at a new engine if it has seized sorry.

'and good luck with the sale on ebay!'
Wow, you sussed me out.
I was thinking of buying this car if it was an easy repair, but it seems that the car hasn't been serviced for years. These engines go on forever if they are serviced.
But very observant, someone here must sit on ebay a lot!
