my saxo 1.5 diesel had a stuttering fault which developed to the Immobiliser light coming on, the rac said it was a fault in the fuel pump,pump removed and new bit fitted, car did start ok after pump was fitted then stopped and light flashing again, any clues much appreciated

is Immobiliser keypad or chipped key?
if keypad they are bulletproof
if chipped key suspect the key or the aerial round the ignition barrel ,do you have another key to try?

have 2 keys no differance,the rac checked it out and said it was the pump and that the keys where ok

You need to find someone with a scanner to check the fault code that will be logged. I suspect you may find the key chip reader around the ignition barrel has failed.

found a guy with a box of tricks today traced fault to a broken 12v supply between ecu and multi plug beside battery,cured and going a treat
