I've a Passat TDI (tiptronic auto and pd engine 115hp). Has anyone out there tried chipping one of these or adding one of those units that go near to the fuel delivery system? If so, I'd be interested in what performance and economy increases you got and likely costs/insurance issues.

This has been discussed many times both in discussion and in technical. Try doing a forum search to the right hand side of the page.
As far as I can remember, several people have had theirs chipped and no one has complained. However regarding the units that go near the fuel delivery system, think the general consensus is that these are not very good?
