Bora Sidelight Blown - old_git
Help. The near (battery) side front sidelight has gone on my son's 99 Bora. Taken off cover and there's not enough room to swing a cat in there. Didn't think I had particularly fat hands but I just can't get any purchase to loosen it. Any hints, tricks? Thanks.

None directly.
On Passat I used a dentists mirror and a bright torch to see what I was doing with the headlamp bulbs. Not easy.The removal is usually easier than the replacement on VWs.

Passat sidelights appear to be virtually inside the metalwork of the front wings.

Take the battery out; makes replacement of any of the bulbs on that side a lot easier.
