Audi A4 1995 display fault - oggyoggyoggy
Please can anyone help.
The instrument cluster on my A4 is faulty. Firstly the coolant warning light started flashing, then when i drove the car the speedo and revometer started exceeding the revs and speed I was doing (the needles were going off the clock) and finaly were the mileage should be it is now reading 'def'.
The car has been checked with diagnostic equipment, yet no faults were recorded.

what checks ? which equipment ?

vag-com will drive all the dials and test the instrument cluster, basic tools just check the main ecu.

I would try checking the connections, otherwise sounds like new unit.
