fading paint - allan doc
I'm thinking in buying a mk3 VW golf which is blue in colour. the only problem is that the paint is a little faded. The person who is selling the car has t-cut but i can still notice fading marks. Is there any way to restore the colour or would it have to be a respray? The car is now 1- year old.

Sorry - a Mk 3 Golf is 1 year old?????

Do you mean 10-years old?

Little you can do I would have thought.

if its really is just a little faded , then yes you should be able to restore its shine with some carefull use of good products

if you dont fancy having a go yourself then a valeter would charge around £100 or so to machine polish your car

if its gone really chalky looking or you suspect it may have had dodgy paintwork done on it, id suggest you show a valeter/body shop before buying

if you buy it remember to wax the car often to keep it nice
