We have oft heard extolled the virtues of Millers diesel fuel additive, but what of their engine oils?
(I'm particularly interested in XFD & XFE)

Roger,
Been chatted aboutr here now and again, try search.
Hardly known by the public but highly rated by those in the know with diesels.

Thanks, David, that was the impression I had got, and I am currently using XFE (£22+/5l) rather than ultra-pricey Mobil 1 Diesel!

For what it's worth, you don't have to pay full retail for Mobil 1. I buy it at £19 including VAT for 4 litres from an official Mobil wholesaler. What's more, he delivers it to my door by lorry at that price (although I do tend to purchase 4 lots at a time to make it worth his while). Try getting a quote from your nearest Mobil wholesaler (see their website for a list). You may be surprised!

For easy reference, the number to find your nearest Millers stockist is 0800 281 053.

Millers are only a few miles from me and I have used their oils and additives on and off for some time. We used to use them when I worked at a brewery in Halifax for the various machines and can recommend them. The technical help when we had a problem was always very good. They buy in bulk base oils from other manufactures and then add the good bits as I recall.

I explored Millers oil after several recommends but Product Data Sheet comparison with Mobil 1, left me still buying the liquid gold(M1)

I used XFE in the semi synthetic and fully synthetic forms in a Citroen ZX TD after Dr. Diesel and other contributors in Diesel car Magazine went on about it month after month. I also used their Diesel Clean additive and my fuel economy went up about 4 mpg so I figured the car must be enjoying it! The mpg figure could have been affected by me thinking more about fuel efficiency after putting the Millers stuff in and trying harder, but it certainly went up. I got early to mid 50's mpg on a 35 mile daily commute into Manchester of which 50% was motorway (doing 60/65mph) and 50% very 'urban' cycle with slow traffic and a total driving time 1 to 1 1/2 hours. After 120,000 miles the figures didn't change.
