Ah Total, Total. What interesting lighting they have on their forecourts.

Whereever I have driven past a Total station it has always been more expensive than the next nearest one even if that was just dwon the road. Its a wonder that they are still in business.

Dipstick,
In the lighting business then?
My company does a lot of the electrical certification for garage forecourts.
Anyway- our local Total does not look like the photo as HGV are always ripping the corners of the red fascia off!

Perhaps we are more fortunate in Asia. Total is my favorite.
My nearest station is a Total, which I visit about once a week. I must admit I've never noticed the name of the petrol on the pump as I find the spectacle of a nice smiling young lady in cap, t-shirt and short skirt a good deal more appealing as she leans over to clean the windshield while waiting for the tank to fill. Meanwhile her partner wheels up an air bottle on a trolley and asks if I want my tyres checked. Roll up on the Harley and they'll flirt with you as well.......
The place also has a bright shiny little shop called La Boutique, a well-lit ATM machine (secure at night) a while-you-wait car wash, engine wash and oil change facility and a little outdoor café area.
Seems worth the 20p tip :+)

Not even a little bit in the lighting business, but just found that really interesting.
If you're doing electrical certification then I hope you don't use your mobile next to the pump to ring the results to HQ. That's how the dinosurs were wiped out, apparently.

Definitely not. I stay in HQ and use a land line.
Much safer.
After doing a few more miles I can say there is a bit of the BP Ultimate about the Total Excellium.
Engine feels a bit torquier and smoother but no noticeable improvement in mpg according to computer readout.
Dearer than the supermarket stuff at present but I hate the queues at our local Morrison's forecourt.

hope you don't use your mobile next to the pump to ring ... thought this & using the fone on airports & hospitals &... was, not as much a problem as THEY told us!!

I am one of the servants of THEY ! Beware!
Unless we or other notified bodies certify and test equipment for use in a hazardous atmosphere it should not be used. I do not install the equipment, but do the certification to international Standards, through our well known firm.No advert but we are hosting an IECEx conference in Buxton next week.See IECEx website if interested.Or read the certification label on many fuel pumps.
A shorted lithium phone battery ,after dropping it say, produces a spectacular bang and a fire. Much more likely scenario than using a phone IMHO.
