Bit in today's Telegraph quoting Harriet Harman, the Solicitor General, saying that 700 cyclists were prosecuted last year, 600 convicted and 500 fined.
She said "The C P S is well aware that the law applies to cyclists in the same way that it applies to everybody else".
Oh, goody!.

I'm so glad. Does that mean cyclists keeping off the pavement, obeying traffic signals, going the right way down one-way streets, using lights at night, etc.?

Plod is often dishing out tickets to cyclists hooning around oxford pedestrian areas, doesn't it just make you feel warm inside!!
