Hesitant S60 - Wales Forester

My 2.0T S60 has begun to stutter and hesitate for the first few minutes of driving from 'cold'. It can be quite jerky and just has no go at low revs. After a few minutes it improves and finally all is well again, until the next 'cold' start.

It's not like the engine is missing, it's almost as if not enough fuel or air is getting through.

Any ideas?
