99 vectra air con - hackett
hi all
i have had my vectra air con regassed three times with the green dye also put in.it has took nearly four months to find the leak but finally shown up.i dont know much about air con systems so to describe it. its on one of the two valves with wires on them on a single metal pipe behind the rad running at the bottom.what are they? are they easy to fix .are they screwed in on o rings as one of them was loose slightly (green dye all over it).so tweeked it up , fingers crossed.
if it carries on to lose gas is the stuff that halfords sell to stop air con leaks any good in stoping leaks or is it best to stay away from theese products.
cheers
dave

They're pressure switches with an O ring under them, so you should be ok. I think they also have a shreader valve under them, so the switches can be replaced without losing the gas.

Don't touch leak sealants, they don't work, will screw up your system, and will damage anyones equipment that is then used to recover the refrigerant.
