The XJS is in for a few bits and pieces at an independent Jag specialist in Norfolk. Some of the bits he's replacing (suspension bushes, anti-roll bushes etc) came up as a result of the report I got when the XJS had a main dealer service last month. I was surprised and more than a little disappointed to have a call from the independent chap saying that the report and service I had had done was only part of the story.
The upshot is that there were a few other bushes, not mentioned in the main dealer report, that were in worse condition than the ones that were mentioned. They'd also failed to notice an oil leak from the propshaft bit at the back going to the back axle, and that some of the work in the service hadn't been done.
It was a 15000 mile service at the dealer, and oil, air and fuel filters should all have been changed according to the schedule. The oil's been done, but air and fuel certainly haven't. The plugs are also to come out for a looksee and clean, and they haven't either.
Who do I write to at the main dealer? It basically appears that I've had a semi-complete inspection and an oil change for £300. I've no reason to doubt the independent chap - he's got a good reputation, and he's spent a long time with me under the car. I've seen the air filters, and there's no way that they're only 4 weeks old.
I'm irritated as I went to a main dealer to get it squared up until I could find an independent chap I could trust. They were happy enough to take car and money, so why have they not done the job properly?

Phone the dealership, ask for the name of the Dealer Principal, write to him.
Otherwise Jaguar Customer Services, parent Ford have a very good customer services set up in Glasgow, not sure about Jaguar though the website should tell you.

One of the spark plugs on the V12 is underneath the aircon compressor which needs to be removed for access. The story I heard (when I owned an XJ-S) was that that plug wasn't changed very often, even if the others were.
Interested to hear how it develops with your dealer.
