Renault Megane dCi oil change - Xileno {P}
Do other dCi owners stretch their oil to 18K? Seems a long time to me but my dealer says it is designed to go that far. My Megane is now 15 months old with 11K on the clock so it won't want changing until it's two years old. It hasn't used a drop of oil but it is pretty black.

I have no doubt you will be told to change it at 6k miles in this forum.

Its a diesel, it will be black 100 miles after an oil change.

If it's bugging you that much, get it changed. It'll only cost you about £20.

My Scenic also has these service intervals and is now at the 10000 mile mark. I was thinking of getting it oil and filter change.
Anyone know of first hand of any fast fit places doing good deals on these oil and filter changes for diesels? Or does Renault garages have their own "rapid fit" type operation where they would use Renault parts?

I wish! Genuine Renault filter and fully synthetic is much more than that, not allowing for the labour.
The larger Renault garages are offering Renault Minute service as a fast fit option. I used them for fitting some mudflaps to the Megane before Christmas. Good quick service and they changed a front sidelight bulb for me. I was very pleased since it's quite tricky to do...

I think I will change the oil myself but get the bits from Renault.
