How long for MOT test - Drivethru

Just interested to know how long people think it should take for an MOT test. I usually have mine done at an independent garage and it takes 30 mins or 40 at the most. Today I had it done at a main dealer and I waited an hour and 3/4. After an hour I asked how long it would be and they said it takes an hour and half, I have never known it take that long, it's a W reg Micra. Just wondered what others think.

How long for MOT test - mfarrow

Last time I had mine done it was completed within the hour. Best way to check is to do it yourself using the online manuals available and see how long it takes :-)

Should take 45 minutes to an hour in my experience.

30 minutes. When you look at the book, there isn't really all that much to do and can be done in a logical and systematic way with one in the car and one under.
(I say 30 mins for me, old car, not CAT so no full emissions test).
