Generic air con parts - teabelly
Are there any companies out there that make replacement more generic items to replace parts that manufacturers aren't making any more? The reason I ask is that nissan don't seem to be making the air con pressure switches for my old skyline r32 and I wondered if I could get a more generic one from somewhere as they all do much the same job.....

I suggest you give Hella a try.

Better known for electrical things than aircon, they do sell many aircon items; I bought one of their condensers last year.

They also have an excellent website, which can be found at:

www.hella.com

Click on "Heating and Ventilation".

They won't supply direct but you can find out the name of your local Hella distributor. At the time I dealt with them myself they didn't seem too good at replying to e-mails, but a telephone call gave an immediate answer.

Suggest you give them a try,
