Basically the dealer is correct. They take about 3.5 litres.
The Primera 'box can be unpleasant if the wrong oil is used. Get a good 75W-90S fully-synthetic. If the budget will stretch then use Redline MT90 friction-modified 75W-90. Its not cheap at about £10 a quart, but synchro action will be better...

Thanks Aprilia,i think your right,i will be putting in a decent
quality oil,along the lines of a good synthetic gearbox oil,no good skimping,i always use mobil 1 fully synthetic engine oil so
iam a great believer in you only get what you pay for,especially
along the lines of a good quality lube.

Get the Redline then. I think Demon Tweeks sell it for about £10 a quart - you will need £40 worth!
