Experiencing a problem with the factory fitted Philips unit in a CDX. Unit refuses to switch to FM range, despite following manufacturers instructions, would like another option to "5 Live"! Any thoughts?

If you've got the radio's code, then try disconnecting and reconnecting the power to it to see if it'll reset itself.
Several ways to do this;-
1. find the relevant fuse in the fuse box,
2. remove radio from the dash - you'll need the tools to poke down the holes at the sides - after you've removed the grub screws,
3, disconnect the battery - but doing so will set off the factory fit alarm unless you follow the instructions in the handbook first.

ps,
without trying to sound patronising, it is the ULM button you're pressing to change the radio band from MW to FM to LW I presume? Or on newer models, it's just the button labelled 'Tuner'.

Thanks for your thoughts Dave, I'm certainly hitting the ULM button, but I think its going to come down to a power reset, which I was hoping to avoid.
