Hi
We have hired a Vauxhall Zarifa when we go abroad and there is six of us. Have seen the Zarifa in person today and seen that the boot space is tiny, will it be possible to fit six suitcases in?
Thanks
Tony

With 6 people ? Not a chance. Roof rack maybe ?

Depends on how big the passengers are and how long the journey is? I would assume that you will only be using one of the rearmost seats so could pile cases up on top of the unused seat (which of course would be folded away).
But 6 cases? Might be pushing it!

Upgrade to a Previa or Grande Espace?

Thank you for all your speedy replies we were thinking about stacking them up on the unused seat but thought the passenger in the other rear seat would be crushed under suitcases. I cannot understand why they build a car for 7 people but forgot about luggage space.
I think i will get a job as a car designer as you surely don't need and qualifications.

You might do better if you packed everything in soft bags, and preferably smaller ones.
With a bit of ingenuity, a little discomfort, and sensible packing you might make it. But you would need soft bags which were not packed to bursting. All in all, another car would be better.

"I cannot understand why they build a car for 7 people but forgot about luggage space."
Common complaint. Most are only suitable for 7 on fairly cramped day trips maximum.

They didn't.
You just have to be realistic about what you can actually fit in a car of that size. The luggage space in the Galaxy is not much better but that car is significantly bigger. If you want to carry six and six suitcases a minibus and trailer is a far better option :-).
The luggage space travelling in a 2+3+1 formation is far better than in most cars of a similar size, that for some reason cant carry six people anywhere near as safely or comfortably.
Unless we are going aware for more than a long weekend we travel in a 2+2+2 formation and there is plenty of room for a small soft bag each. Did that and travelled back with an extra passenger and their luggage so cant be all bad.

That's the point.
Although I have to say that even in the Landcruiser is all 8 seats are in use, then you're not going to be carrying much luggage, although with only 6 seats in use it would carry 6 cases pretty easily.
