I'm changing the drive belt and 'fan'belt on a 1.8 volvo gdi engine. Does anyone know if the tensioner is automatic on this (no owners HAYNES for this particular engine). Also does anyone know what the tension should be?

Can't answer the question itself, but I appreciate the problem with the Haynes manual. You could buy the Haynes one for the Mitsubishi Carisma, which has the same engine. By chance I found that even the brakes are the same for both vehicles...
