Radar detectors abroad. - eurocourier
I don't have a radar detector myself - those who know me know I drive like a priest. However I do know that they're illegal in most of europe. If you use one and venture abroad, remember this: in France this morning someone I know has been fined 750 euros for having one. Yes, you read right: seven hundred and fifty. I've also heard of them being confiscated or destroyed. Be aware Ladies and Gentlemen.

The French plod have been known to ask very politely to pass them your radar detector and then ask you to drive over it. Followed by an enormous fine.
