My Renault Espace 1990 Petrol injection won't fire. Mechanic has confirmed it runs if power is run directly to the fuel pump, but otherwise pump receives no power. He suggested ECU controls fuel pump so that's been computer checked and is OK. He thinks there is a relay somewhere but cannot locate it. Can anyone help please?

Fraid I dont know the motor. But apart from a relay.May have impact protection switch..If this has had a knock/assuming it has one. this will prevent pump from running. if the car has a severe bump this switch is activated and prevents pump from running..I expect someone else will know better so just a thought?

Steve - thanks for the reply. It's been finally sorted. The mechanic returned , searcehed again, and found a severed wire under the front skirt. Rejoined wire, car started!! t's always the most obvious thing....and I never did find that relay!
