paying for a forum related site - K
Would anyone pay to be included within a forum site. This would stop the kids of the world annoying and aggravating perfectly good discussion groups.
Re: paying for a forum related site - markymarkn
unlikely. dont like giving out credit card details over net if possible.

beside, I'm a poor student who doesnt like paying for anything, and I'm sure HSBC would have something to say about how i'm spending my overdraft. :-)

Mark.

What are you studying? I need a 4th year student who know a bit about e-commerce, website designs etc.

I need some one who is presntly studying in the IT environment, I run an internet based site and am looking to solve some comercial problems ie uplaod of data onto the site, upload of news section like HJ's a refresh to the existing site. Basically I need to manage thesite from our staff as opposed to using a third party internet company.
Re: Intrigued...? - crazed idiot
any you want some young mug who doesnt realise what the market rate for such skills is ?

get a life...
Re: Intrigued...? - K
No just thought it could help towards their overdraft!
Re: Intrigued...? - Alastair
The market for these sort of people, even the skilled ones like (I assume) 'Crazed Idiot', has crashed. There are loads around and the rates have dropped dramatically. If you are on a tight recruitment cost budget, try a site called gisajob.co.uk, you can advertise for free.
We have just used it for very specific skills and had some excellent candidates, both contract and permanent, experienced and graduates. Monster.co.uk also let you put an ad on for £250.

If you'd included an email address, I might have been able to make a suggestion. Then you could have had a news upload *exactly* like ours. Basically, though, your idea of running the thing in-house is fine as long as you realise that whichever way you work it you'll need to make an initial investment for setting up.
