Reading the sales brochures for new VWs, most seem to have a disclaimer next to the engine description. Paraphrasing, "Thanks to anti-knock technology you can run this on 95 Ron petrol".
Does this imply that using anything other than super unleaded is cutting corners in a way that could come back to haunt you? Or have the cars really been built for ordinary, and super would be pointless/damaging? Have these FSI engines been around long enough to tell what the effects are?
Thanks for any thoughts,
Roger
