How on earth did the snail that was on my bonnet this morning get there? I don't park under a tree or in contact with any shrubbery, nothing. Weird - can they leap from tyre to wheel arch?
And it's not a Nissan S-Cargo either....

snails are very sneaky creatures.... did you know that if you find a snail in your back garden and throw it over the wall it will return in a few days... yes the same one will return. I didn't believe it either so I tested the theory by painting a white spot on a snail and sure enough back it came.
It may have been dropped by a passing bird? Or a cat I know of cats that will pick up and play with anything.

Let me guess, a week later there was knock at the door and a little voice said "what did you do that for?"

Maybe your neighbour threw it over the wall, and it landed on the bonnet?

Nearest neighbour is 300 yards away.

Wheel, suspension, wheel arch, wing, bonnet?

Blimey. He should play for the England cricket team then.

On the bonnet? Pah! ;)
When I had my first car (a Vauxhall Astravan) I once found one on the INSIDE of the drivers door!

You need to walk a bit quicker, Bazza
