Does anyone have any ideas on uneven tickover and also seems 'jerky' at low speed, ie when stuck in traffic queues.
Replaced plugs, checked distributor/ht cables etc. Air filter ok.Bought replacement fuel filter but haven't found it yet.
Any ideas anyone please?

Hmmmm, sounds familiar:-

Not a Matiz, but a Lanos. Could well be the same engine though.

My sister had this problem on her matiz, there was two things to look for :-

1 dodgy connector on the distributor, not sure whch one but clean them all & make sure they are tight.

2, the idle control valve - daewoo did this under warranty. apparantly unfiltered air is sucked into it & it gets bunged up.Again don't know where it is but it was a known job by daewoo & only took the half an hour to clean out & fix

hope this helps

Idle speed control valve will be the problem it is located just to the left of the black air intake pipe on top of the engine remove it two 8mm bolts i think. Clean it out with carb cleaner or similar dry it off put it back. Remove the 3 ecm control fuses 2 in the fuse box in the engine bay and 1 up in the drivers footwell depending on year there may only be the two in the engine bay replace after 10 min. Problem solved

Getting an Idle Speed Control Valve off Ebay and instead of over £98 there are some at about £20 (some new & some used with guarantees) Is the part number AC1027 correct ?

Replaced everything from the coil down and found valve is knackered !
