i have a w reg rover420ie the air con wont work national air con checked it out but cant locate the problem.they say the condenser is fine the switch works and the fan works any ideas

Did they check for gas? Chances are, if everything else works, then it\'s run out of gas.

If you live anywhere near E Sussex I can highly recommend a mobile aircon engineer who dealt with my ailing 406 system on Saturday morning. This guy is a real expert and was extremely thorough, and has probably forgotten more than most ever knew about the subject. I have just sent his details to HJ for his Good Garages Guide.

This is just a thought.as I dont know the air con on 400 series.
They have a vacuum operated flap that diverts interior air/exterior into cabin.they may have another which diverts automaticaly air through air con.if this has failed may be prob.as I say may be wrong?
