Been contacted by a friend who this weekend is out to impress his girl friend by carrying out an oil change to her Ford Ka.
Has some considerable mechancically aptitude with two wheel machines but wonders and asks:
1. The location of the sump plug on a 1.3 Ka?.
2. Is a standard Hex used to loosen or a key?
3. Location of the filter?
4. Oil capacity including filter.?
Detailed replies please so he can truly impress.

If she has a Ka registered before 52 plate:
1. At the back of the engine towards the right hand side (facing forwards).
2. Standard Hex
3. Just above the sump plug, comes down at an angle
4. 3.25 litres
If she has a Ka registered after 52 plate (newer engine without the clanking), check if not sure though!:
1. As above
2. As above
3. At the front of the engine (I think), which is a funny place IMHO!
4. 4.1 litres
