Dartford Tolls - Brian
I have put this up as annew topic to bring it to the top as the consultation period ends, I believe, today.

The link to the consultation paper is

www.highways.gov.uk/info/consult/liveconsult/dcros...m

Please look at and e-mail comments against the continuation as an urgent task.
Re: Dartford Tolls - Cockle
Thanks Brian, got your e-mail earlier and have posted my comments but having listened to our local radio today I think we antis are going to be small voices in the wilderness. All our local politicos have seen the pound signs being dangled in front of them for 'transport development', still at least I've had my four penn'orth.
Re: Dartford Tolls - Mark (Brazil)
Here you go...

EU Law, Directive 99/62 implies that road tolls may only be used for road /Bridge /tunnel maintenance or improvement.

You're only issue is that it isn't currently supported by precedent.

Now if you can't come up with a protest based on that..........

The simple answer to that is to do some creative accounting.

Dosh raised on Dartford crossings pays for M25 maintenance.
Money that would have been spend on M25 gets wasted on green/red
road markings elsewhere.
