I want to upgrade the present radio/cassete of a 2001 Mazda 323 1.6GXI to CD/radio/tape or perhaps just CD/radio.
It is an odd shape almost square.
Where can I get such equipment.
No obvious removal holes either.

I too have a Mazda 323 (2001 model). As far as I am aware this unit is specific to Mazda and only a Mazda dealer can supply the parts. It's modular in design meaning that if the cassete unit slides out it can be replaced with a minidisc unit. There should also be a 'blanked-out' slim slot near the top that can accommodate a single cd unit. Trouble is it is sure to be pricy if puchasing from a main dealer :-(

Mazda accessory site has got a single CD player at £129 inc VAT.
Anyone know if the upgrade is a DIY proposition?
