They are driving me mad.They open (on the switch) then dont close. Or the other windows wont open. Then they work perfectly. Then they dont, again. Any suggestions, short of getting a different car?

master switch may cause a prob.I may be wrong but it supplies the other switches if that goes wrong upsets the whole system.as I said could be wrong as other probs may cause it?

Would that affect the sun roof? It likes to get in on the act as well.

Sorry but anymore details that you neglect to tell anyone about.
sterling had full spec so any prob would be hard to find.bear in mind spec on these cars will cause any sparky a prob unless they know the car.some wont touch it.sorry if sounding harsh but the car is as stated and would help if all probs mentioned.no offence meant

Control unit for sunroof and electric windows is located under front passenger seat,suggest remove and check connections to this.
