Methinks the judge did himself proud with this one. (Have to feel sorry for his being splashed, though!)

Hmmm. Seems like screwdrivers are evidence of wrongdoing, so I'd better tidy my garage. Quickly!

The TV coverage shows a different situation to the \" Tyre-slasher jailed\" headlines on the BBC link.
He appeared to use a quite small screwdriver to attack the tyres. It would appear that the effect was a slow or very slow puncture. The TV coverage showed that the impact was difficult to see. I would suggest that the slow puncture was even more dangerous than an obvious flat.
From the reports, approx 55 vehicles a day, 170 tyres a day is some considerable effort by this strange individual.
It was a bit close to ND land. (this statement has no connection with any of the above observations!) Boscombe - home of the un-taxed car and DSS hostels. Charming area. ND
I did smile at the TV coverage of a lady victim with a stirrup pump posing with her car.
\"Unemployed Carpenter randomly punctured the tyres with a screwdriver in a warning message to drivers.\"
Is a warning message some sort of holder for a screwdriver?

I'd be surprised if some left-wing council doesn't employ him as a tyre warden in 6 months when he'll be let out on license.

Well they could employ him if he was only to operate on the tyres of untaxed and uninsured vehicles? :-)
