Going to have my radiator recored is this a good idea?
|
yes it will be as good as new when done.in most cases it is the cheaper option ie a new one costs a lot more.and sometimes faster than ordering a new one.
|
Yes it is gonna be £110 as opposed to paying £165 + vat + fitting for a new one.
Just wanted to gauge an opinion.
Cheers

Try Serck(or Halfords-their agent) for exchange.
|
Try your small local auto shop who may deal with serck-marston or the likes and will probably pass on more of the trade discount to you or even try contacting them direct.
In the end up you will have a new radiator pressure tested and probably if it is not an off the shelf item it will be your original end caps so you are gauranteed it will be the proper connections.
