hyundai accent y plate, 2001 1.3 i model with 70,000 (mainly motorway miles).
Brought car recently, one thing which is strange to the other cars i drive regulary, when i accelerate and press down on the pedel, its hard to describe but the pedal sounds 'rusty' or sort of makes a weird noise. dont get me wrong it accelerates, but its not as easy at the getz or rover 400 i drive. the pedel seems to make a weird noise and its a little heavier to press down and seems as if its grinding slightly.
could this be rust, as the car has begun to rust at an alarming rate for only 3 years old?
or is it something else. Im reluctant to take ito the the hyundai dealer as they have a habit in this area of ripping people off.
Also, anybody know if fitting brakes the the accent is easy? ive done them before to an old rover 213, but was wondering if the accent is straight forward. Dont forget my model ,is the old facelift (eg, not the old chassis body nor the current car on sale.)
