Thursday 25th (tomorrow) is free UK listing day for cars. This means that if you post your auction between midnight tonight and midnight tomorrow you will be spared the usual £6 listing fee - but not the £18 (IIRC) success fee if it goes.
Apologies to those registered, who will already know this.

This means that there will be loads and loads of cars that people have been hesitating about selling, all appearing on eBay at the same time.
Therefore supply will outstrip demand and prices will be driven down - by rather more than £6!

So flipping that one on its head, some bargains to be had (if you fancy buying a car through an online auction, which given that posts on this forum suggest only cars in need of TLC get sold that way.....
Not for the fainthearted.

If you have an hour or two, read this thread regarding a purchase made over the net. It\'s from America, it\'s genuine and it\'s about motorbikes.

Just a note that the content of the above link is not for the faint hearted. ND

For instance (there's obviously some time still to go), but somebody must fancy a 'cut and shut' of these two which were listed on free listing day and are still sitting at £1 each:

There is a huge number of unwanted & unloved SORNed cars out there that people aren't prepared to pay even £6 towards getting rid of them. _What_ a bangernomic opportunity - and a trip to Edinburgh as well...

And throw this one in as well and you'll have 2.8 cars for the price of 1. Two of these cars even have the same picture, as one of them has been swiped from another seller!
