On a standard BMW radio the reception is generally fine, by which I mean I am mainly tuned to FM (when not playing CDs).
However I also tune in to medium wave for sport and occasionally also to long wave, and would like to improve reception quality and number of listenable stations on these bands.
Is there some form of in-line booster whch might help?

The BMW uses an aerial from Bosch. It is already amplified. Putting in another will cause much noise.
Unfortunatley Bosch (blaupunkt) are renown for providing poor MW/LW reception. (happens with VW as well)

I have doubts as to whether there is.could be wrong.most boosters will give a slight boost but will also boost interference as well so there wont be any gain in actual signal from station.any booster that has a filter ie to lose interference also loses out on signal quality.that goes for home radios as well.?

Thanks for info and advice. Much appreciated.
