The car starts fine in the morning but after a minute or two the revs die away and it cuts out, starts again fine but again after a couple of minutes it dies again. Its only when theres a bit of heat in the engine that it runs ok.
Its only been this over the last week.
Could it have something to do with the inlet manifold preheater relay in the ECU.
oh it a 1992 polo single-point injection.
Any ideas??

Have you replaced the warm air ducting that you were asking about in a previous thread?

If you have replaced it, and it's come adrift, then as Adam suggests, you could be suffering from carb icing.

Yeah replaced it almost straight away. Got the heat shield and attached it to the exhaust manifold and run the pipe to the warm air intake. the pipe is fine no holes.
