Hi everyone, got a 2013 i10 4 years ago, failed MOT today with the below. My local service guy said it would cost about £800 to fix all the below (mainly timing belt & ABS), and sugested perhaps I should sell the car. Used cars are still way too expensive. What do folks think - repair, or replace like for like?
Repair immediately (major defects)
- Engine mil inoperative or indicates a malfunctions [8.2.1.2(h)]
- Electronic power steering warning lamp indicates a system malfunctiona [2.6(a)]
Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories)
- Play in steering rack inner joint(s)(Both inner joints)
- Anti-roll bar linkage ball joints slight play Nearside Front
- Anti-roll bar linkage ball joints slight play Offside Front
- Shock absorber has light misting of oil Offside Rear
And I replaced all 4 tyres last year! :(
