Like Swace/Corolla and Across/RAV4, there’ll also be a Toyota badged version along at some point.

I'm conflicted by the electric Vitara.

I'm not at all against EV's, but one of the things I like most about Suzuki's is that they are light (and light is good), usually lighter than the competition, sometimes by quite a bit. So while I accept an electric Vitara is obviously going to be heavier, I was dismayed both by just how much heavier it is than the current version, but that it is also a chunk heavier (over 150kg) than a Peugeot e 2008, which is slightly bigger and has a slightly bigger battery.

:-(

Suzuki / Toyota relationship clearly ongoing.

Suzuki have concentrated production in Hungary very sensibly to take advantage of the cheap coal powered and nuclear electricity .

They are now the most popular cars out there and a brand that out in house Doc recommends and drives.

Maybe the Chinese brands will follow the lead , but restrict their investment to assembling parts delivered from China..

The Swift is built in Japan, the vitara is indeed built in Hungary, not sure about the others in the line up.

I to would recommend one, I'm currently on my third.
