Hi. I recently inherited a Volvo C70 convertible. I was reluctant to part with my reliable Carina, so I decided that I'd use the Volvo for six months of the year, then swap over. Adding the Volvo to my existing policy was cheap enough but, the renewal quote for both cars is well over £1,000, (Admiral). Perhaps it is expensive because of my age, (26, and have been driving for 6 years). However, I'd appreciate to know if there are any companies out there who do fairly priced multi-car insurance deals-some of you petrol heads out there must have more than one car! LV do multicar policies. If you stop insuring a car make sure you SORN it and make sure it's not parked on a road otherwise you'll get something unpleasant in the post and/ or have the car clamped.

Intrigued by your mention of Boundless Motoring Group, I checked their website.

Being a retired teacher, I would be eligible to join. It's £40 p.a.

The question is, would I save £40 on my car insurance? (Can't see myself using many of the other discounts, but it would be nice to know what they are. Of course, the website doesn't say.)

At one point, I owned four cars and was the only driver of all of them. I found fleet insurance with me as the only driver was the most cost effective - you can only drive one at a time...

Boundless are the new name for Civil Service Motoring Organisation and it has strong links with LV.

The social breaks are great value and I’ve taken three so far this year. Thames cruising, New Forest and Bournemouth Marsham Court Hotel . Self drive but when 85 members stay at a hotel you are assured of a good deal. They also own a hotel in Bournmouth West Cliff.
