In the past I have bought several cars from Motorpoint. Doing business was simple - you paid the price on the screen, and got a price for any trade in you could decide to accept or not.

Prices were always very competitive so haggling seemed largely unnecessary.

Over the last few years prices have increased markedly - they no longer inhabit the top of any Autotrader search. They promote PCP and finance deals which I have no interest in over a straight cash price.

The only benefit now is seeing a large range of cars in one place to crystallise thoughts on what I want. They are no longer the default place to buy - as they would have been 5-10 years ago.
