Annual Insurance due shortly and after 60 plus years NCD minor bump 3 years ago NCD down rock bottom. Age into high 80
Looking at comparison sites seems ageism being well truly applied faced with four fiqure annual Insurance.by all the so called Main Insurers.
Any one out there can direct me to a company that may deal sympatheically with my wallet?

You may find (unless you've already done so) that adding a middle-aged, son or daughter (or equivalent, e.g. niece / nephew perhaps) to your policy as a 'named additional driver' reduces, the premium somewhat, as long as they have a clean record for both claims and driving points within the last 5 years at least.
Worth adding them on for emergency purposes in case you are taken ill (but not sufficient to need a hospital visit) and cannot drive home.
I started doing this after I bought my first car back in the late 90s in my 20s and have done up until my dad turned 75 or so, when it was not financially advantageous, so I put my younger sister on instead, for a 10% drop in the premium and for genuine emergency purposes.
My dad has now put my sister on his / my mum's policy for the same reasons, now that both are 80+. Worth seeing if it makes a positive difference, whichever insurers you look at.
